Chronic Illness

I remember thousands of times when people would ask why I “talk funny” or getting used to and feel comfortable with asking for help. Starting from a young age, I had to learn how to practice self-advocacy and acknowledge that comparing myself to others was not going to help me.

I strive to create an inclusive environment for people with physical, mental, or emotional challenges. This includes multiple sclerosis (MS), muscular dystrophy (MD), cerebral palsy, Down’s syndrome, and other conditions that may impact navigating this world. I am familiar with ASL and I am working on putting all documents in Braile to increase accessibility.

Whether you or a family member has been diagnosed with a disability or chronic illness, there can be a lot of grief about what you used to be able to do and/or anxiety about the future. I am here to listen and help process any questions or concerns that come up about what is possible.
